Always reliable on the right fit and comfort. Wear longer than any other shoe. I’ve tried other brands but always come back to Merrill!A bit small in the mid foot, but otherwise comfortable. Ice+ soles are not nearly as grippy as expected after walking over ice to and from work. Bright blue pull tab detracts from otherwise dress quality shoe. Just the right amount of insulation, though, for walking in 15 degree weather.This is an attractive shoe, but wasn't as comfortable as I expected. It just didn't fit my foot the right way.I am on concrete floors at work and have to have vibram soles. I’m a huge fan of Chaco toecoop but they discontinued them.I gave these a try and can’t answer to how well they will hold up but they are comfortableNow I know why these were sold out last season. This shoe is not only comfortable but also awesome on icy pavement. Winter came early here in Michigan this year, and because I ordered early, I was prepared. Best money spent so far this Winter.Only shoe my husband can stand for long hours of house building in without his knees killing him. He wears through a pair every 4-5 months, but it’s worth not being in pain.Merrell shoes are mostly casual wear but this pair in black is good enough to wear in formal or business casual environment. Soles look very sturdy due to the added slip resistant material. Most Merrell shoes wear out the out sole tread fairly quickly (6 months), hopefully this type can last longer.They WORK, don't expect miracles but they DO really help get traction on "ICE"The shoes work very good on ICE, but ice and snow not much different than any other winter boot. The snow packs on the bottom and keeps the chips in the sole from reaching the ice so no gripping action.The grip was good in the snow in Germany where it was below freezing but back in UK on the wet packed down refrozen slush the grip wasn't very good at all. The fit is good and they are very comfortable to wear for all day walking in the city.Not cheap but instantly comfortable and feel robust to tackle most weathers. Walking on icy pavements and no hint of a slip.Brilliant shoe and now non slipMy mate take the mickey, but I love them.Comfortable, warm and rather middle aged!Good fit. Very warm. Good on snow. Not very good grip on dry ice though
