The boot itself is great. The spikes are very inconvenient to use. Especially if you decide after you start your walk that you need them. The tread of the boot has to be completely clear to get them to snap in place. Luckily I had someone with me to hold on to while I dug the snow out of the tread. The same is true when I returned to my car. It took awhile to clean them enough to put the spikes away. I would not want to deal with the hassle when entering and exiting buildings. Again, the boots are fine but not $300 plus fine.
